Since it has sat, I'd clean the whole fuel system, it sounds like before it went out it was trying to adjust the fuel ratio, it was probably reading a lean condition and started pumping more gas into the cylinders. the computer will still try to run at those conditions, so you have to flash it back to factory for it to even try to run right. The issues are going to stick around until you clear the codes, even if the sensors are clean. Q-tips and acetone has done the job for me. I've cleaned them in my import cars and plugged them back in with no issues, just don't touch the probe deal after it's clean. Some people say you can't clean oxygen senors etc. That's my experience of how that system works to a tee. It reads out of range sends nonsense to computer computer tries to adjust, then it runs shitty or not at all. I'm sure it has an oxy sensor or two on it and other shit like that, take those things out and clean them, dirt on fucking sensors are usually the only problem to begin with.
